In his introduction Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura writes that devotional service alone is the goal, and unalloyed devotional service is independent and devoid of the tinge of karma or jnana.

Roman transliteration of Sanskrit verses, translation imbued with commentary, translated from Bengali to English by Bhumipati Dasa, edited by Purnaprajna Dasa.

At the end of the book is appended the Gita-mahatmya with its seven verses with English translation.
