Srila Prabhupada constantly quoted lines from these poetic and deeply philosophical chants in his lectures and books. Along with the hymns is a short biography of Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura, the first Vaisnava to spread the nectar of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s instructions in the west.

This is the revised edition of the original publishing of the edition of 1974.

It is now double size (US letter format), it includes now the Roman sanskrit, word for word translation, and translation into English. An index of first lines of the Roman sanskrit is included on the last page.
