But in this twist of fate, the wife, Sakhu, becomes the saintly object of devotion by her mate. Abused by a relentlessly antagonistic mother-in-law, Sakhu is driven out of her home. She takes shelter of the deity of Panduranga Krishna and leaves her body in His temple. Panduranga manifests Himself in her form and returns to the house of the husband and mother-in-law.
