Listen to the stories in your home language, understand and then listen in English. Practice reading. The associated Activity Book, full of ideas, will help you familiarise yourself in reading the words in the Story book. Develop speaking skills by saving your own voice onto every page. Each book gets progressively harder but nevertheless has a clear message of care and concerns for others.
(Users have found that the books help in developing speaking skills in any of the languages mentioned above.)
In SET C children learn more advanced sound-spelling patterns and explore more complex themes, characters, and plots. Krishna stories and books featuring Sita, Ravi, and Vikram are in this set so children again meet familiar characters. They also meet Siva, Vidura, Bharat, Pariksit, Narada Muni, and other persons whose stories have inspired and thrilled children and adults for many centuries. The moral values learned in the many traditional tales as well as modern stories help children to choose a life of personal satisfaction and meaning, while doing good for others.
The activity books and guides in this SET include many additional stories to extend what is presented in the talking books. The activities and games are both fun and challenging—children will ask for more, and look forward to reading time!
This set is designed for approximately 14 weeks of instruction spread over a calendar year. Children will return to the talking books again and again over many years since they are enchanting stories with interactive features. And children as young as 3 years old will love being read to from the books in this set. Older children long past the instructional level of the books will enjoy the interactive features of the MagicPEN (can be bought separately) that has the characters speak and sing, and allows a child to record his or her own voice into the books.
