1. Om Namo Narayana – 19.13 min – from the first kirtan in Joy means “I worship He, who is the shelter of all”. The kirtan’s meditative raga (melody) Malkauns creates peace and satisfaction.
2. Govinda Jaya Jaya – 18.05 min. – is a praise for Govinda (one who pleases the senses) in raga Durga, which brings light and joy.
3. Sita Rama – 19.58 min. – is a popular mantra dedicated to the Divine incarnation Ramacandra. The refrain glorifying the “savior of the fallen” (patita pavana) was a favorite of Gandhi.
4. Maha Mantra – 17.11 min. – The maha-mantra (“great mantra”) in recommended in Kali-santarana Upanishad as the most effective means for spiritual perfection in the present age. This kirtan in raga Hamsadhwani (sound of swans) creates positive and joyful mood.
