This is the story of Ganesha, how he came into existance, and how he short after lost his head, and how he got then the head of an elephant.

He then was invited to a feast of Kuvera, the God of wealth, and Ganesha ate all the foods until Siva gave him a handful of roasted grains, which made him satisfied.

Later he had once eaten too much on his birthday and on his way home the moon had a good laugh at him, which Ganesha did not like and he chased the moon so that he could not shine during the night. All people and creatures became disturbed and only when they begged him he allowed the moon to come out again.

Last story is about Narada once bringing a beautiful and delicious fruit, and the competition between Kartikeya and Ganesha.
