The mrdanga is a traditional Bengali clay drum, used to accompany devotional bhajans and kirtans. Very intricate rhythms can be performed using the hands and fingers. It is revered as one of the eight sacred musical instruments played by the gopis and is the heart of any kirtan. This clay mrdanga has a woven carrying strap and arrives safely packed in custom made padded carton case. Extra soft cover can be provided on request for a  small contribution .
