Bhakti, An Affair of the Heart, the book is divided into two parts; the first part covers our practical, day-to-day execution of devotional service. It is a collection of advice Maharaja has given in letters over the last twenty years. Maharaja decided to include it in the hope to make us conscious of our practices and to inspire us to take spiritual life more seriously. We may find repetition of certain verses and aspects of devotional service in practice. The reason is that Partha Sarathi Das Goswami thought it is important enough that we read those points again and again.  This part of the book serves to encourage us in our practice of bhakti, to become more serious and diligent. Part two describes Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu’s appearance, His activities, His mood, and includes a comprehensive explanation  for both the internal and external reasons for the Lord’s appearance. It is a collection of lectures Maharaja gave over the last twenty years.
