What is Vaniseva?
Vaniseva is the sincere services offered by all the Vaniservants to bring to life the worship of the glorious teachings of Śrīla Prabhupāda in Vanipedia. Developing Vanipedia is a community effort, and as we successfully build the web community of Vaniseva, the project of Vanipedia will naturally develop. To bring Vanipedia to it’s full potential many devotees are needed to perform Vaniseva.
There are many varieties of services that are becoming apparent as we go further into the process of developing Vanipedia. A short list:
- compiling
- writing
- translating
- editing for technical errors
- software programming design and layout
- educational development
- promotion
- financing
- administration
- site development
- server maintenance
Where can I perform Vaniseva?
Because this is an on-line community project, you can perform Vaniseva from anywhere in the world. We will need the assistance of devotees with many different skills, so if you have some abilities, some free time and most importantly faith in and dedication to the teachings of His Divine Grace Srila Prabhupada then it is quite possible that there is some Vaniseva for you to perform.
Where are we at right now?
We have launched version .02 on the 21st of October 2008 and are inviting a larger participation for compiling, translating, audio fidelity editing etc. Over 900 devotees have already done some service in Vanipedia. We have a core team of six devotees and the other devotees are working from their homes. We have streamlined the services and have created easy ways how to perform different services. And we have Vanitutors ready to train the vaniservants. So we are ready to rock and roll.
What can I do?
